El municipio de West York ha aprobado una nueva aplicación de pago para el estacionamiento en parquímetro en la calle. Esta aplicación permite a los individuos la posibilidad de pagar con tarjeta de crédito o débito para el estacionamiento en parquímetro.
La tasa básica de tramitación es de 0,50 céntimos por transacción de aparcamiento.
El programa viene acompañado de un programa gratuito de marca para informar al público y un programa de seguimiento interno gratuito para el cumplimiento de los contadores y la señalización.
Este programa en este momento sería un servicio añadido para la comodidad del pago. También ha incorporado alertas de tiempo para ayudarle a no recibir una multa de estacionamiento.
Esta aplicación no se pagaría con dinero de los impuestos. Sólo la pagaría el usuario final a través de la tasa de transacción.
Espere este lanzamiento en febrero de 2022.

Si actualmente tiene una señal de minusvalía, el municipio se pondrá en contacto con usted para obtener su nueva señal de minusvalía y carteles personalizados. Sólo las personas con su número en un permiso de discapacidad Borough puede aparcar en su lugar. Las normas de solicitud y aprobación iniciales siguen siendo aplicables. El número de su permiso coincidirá con la señal de su calle.
Special Event Parking Changes. It’s Free for 2026
ATTENTION! Residents in the special event parking zone, the 2025 permits are available to purchase. The permit is required in the special event parking zone in order to park during any “special event” and the York State Fair. 3 permits are available per household.
The permit is $5 per permit for 2025 and free for 2026.
The permit is good for all events in 2025. The placards were designed to not have any personal information on them. As a mirror hanger they can be easily applied during events all year long.
No more tape, no more stickers. No more scramble to get them two days before an event or the York State Fair.
The documentation requirements have not changed. Call 717-846-8889 for more details or email at yorkfairparking@westyorkpa.gov It is now much easier and flexible for you to obtain your permit. Next year’s permits will be available starting in Diciembre 2026. No more rushing around 3 days before the fair. Verification can also be given electronically for easier distribution.
Market Street residents within the meter district are now included in the special event zone. During the York State Fair, the meters will be bagged to only allow borough residents and businesses access to the parking. York State Fair Permit Required Zone Map

First, what this isn’t about, it’s not about causing the residents problems or making money!
It’s about ensuring you have a place to park during these events! Large-scale events are to be more frequent year-round at the fairgrounds. These permits are to protect residents from losing already hard to find parking from event patrons taking their parking. Below are the guidelines and restrictions
Boroughwide Special Event Permit 2025
1. This permit was created this year due to the Rock the Country Concert held at the York Fairgrounds Mayo 30th and 31st. Very little parking is available inside the fairgrounds for this event
Ticket sales rival a typical NFL game at Lincoln Financial or MTB Stadium at 40,000 to 50,000 entries. Because of this fact and the cost to park, we fully expect patrons to try to utilize public parking as we experience during the York State Fair but in a larger scale. (The York Fair day is at max 14,000 entries.
2. Permits are available now for $5 dollars and can be purchased m-f 9-3:30 at Borough Hall and online at westyorkpa.gov. Procedure for online payment: Go to online bill pay, choose misc. option, complete information and type special event permit, and pay. Once complete you will email a copy of your registration to parking@westyorkpa.gov. A borough staff member will process it and mail or drop off your permits. We will be holding Sábado hours as well. Currently, Mayo 10th with others to be announced.
3. This permit is good all year and for any other declared Boroughwide special event. This permit is NOT good for parking during the York State Fair within the fair parking zone
4. If you have a handicap space or have a Market Street parking sticker you will need a permit, but your fee is waived due to already paying for another form of parking
6. Fines are assessed to vehicles within the fair parking zone at $50 per occurrence.
7. Residents can park in approved off street parking. The Borough has planned to TOW ALL VEHICLES that violate this parking restriction. Parking on the grass will be strictly prohibited. Traffic controls will be in place on Highland Avenue and Market Street. Passes will be required to be visible on the mirror the Lunes prior to the event. Enforcement will begin late Jueves evening prior to the concert. Prior to enforcement, we will work with residents that did not secure a permit prior but not after the enforcement period begins.

Market Street meters will be bagged, and permits will be required. (Businesses can get permits for employees and patron passes)
