DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by White Rose Credit Union\, the 10th Annual Go Green in the City is a fun\, family-friendly festival\, celebrating green\, healthy and local living. \nOn Saturday\, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. join us in Downtown York\, PA in the blocks between North Beaver Street\, North Pershing Avenue\, West Clarke Avenue and the surrounding areas. The interactive street fair will include 50+ vendors\, live music\, live animals\, food\, art\, the WITF Go Green Kids Zone and much more. \nStay tuned for a complete entertainment\, vendor and food lineup. \nThis year\, Go Green attendees will also have a chance to take direct action to make York a greener city through York XL’s Clean & Green Challenge. \nThe Clean & Green Challenge will pit teams of 10 people against each other to complete activities that clean and beautify York County. This year\, teams will compete to photograph\, tag and pick up the most trash. Each team member will download and install the Litterati app (available at http://www.litterati.org) to photograph litter prior to picking it up and disposing of it. Competitors will tag each photo with #theTypeOfLitter\, #theBrand and #TeamName.  Prizes will be awarded to teams and individuals. \nAfter participating in the Go Green activities\, hop on the YMCA’s van and head to Newberry Street for the Healthy Kid’s Day at the York YMCA. This fun event offers free youth and family activities including an inflatable obstacle\, basketball instruction\, a jump rope challenge\, crafts\, an indoor obstacle course challenge\, healthy snacks\, and local organizations providing valuable information and activities for youth and families. It runs 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday\, April 21.

DESCRIPTION:Emily Sablosky started the York Sanctuary after moving to York in 2017 from San Diego\, where she had been an acupuncturist\, practitioner of Chinese Medicine\, and massage therapist since 2011. Before working on ‘repairing’ people\, she repaired rare and vintage musical instruments in Gowanus\, Brooklyn\, and books at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Art History and French and Master’s degrees in History of Science and Traditional Oriental Medicine. \nEmily is excited to share her passion and knowledge with York City; offering acupuncture\, Chinese herbal consultation and prescription\, Thai massage\, Tui na/acupressure massage\, Chen Taiji lessons. As a sanctuary space\, her desire is to open the space for events and to other practitioners with a healing focus. \nCome show your support and learn more about Downtown York\, PA’s new business!
